From a young age, Celina Polane was drawn to the natural world, often venturing into the outdoors where she developed a deep appreciation for its beauty and wonder. Her journey into photography began at age 14, when her parents gifted her a camera—sparking a lifelong passion for capturing nature through the lens.

Celina went on to study at the Dutch Photography School (Fotovakschool), where she built a solid foundation in technical photography. She believes that strong photographic skills are essential and prefers not to rely on chance when capturing compelling images. Her work is rooted in patient observation and a deep respect for animals in their natural habitat.

Her photographic style is diverse—ranging from dreamlike compositions to powerful, storytelling images that reflect the lives of animals and their environments. Whether photographing majestic mammals or intricate insects, Celina sees each creature as uniquely photogenic.

Beyond her own photography, Celina is passionate about sharing her knowledge and inspiring others. She enjoys guiding fellow nature lovers and aspiring photographers, helping them grow their skills and discover the art of wildlife photography.
