Evangelista Vambe is a development communication specialist and passionate conservation advocate with over six years of experience spanning the media, public sector, and non-governmental organizations. Her work bridges strategic communication, policy advocacy, and community engagement to address human–wildlife conflict and promote sustainable, locally driven conservation.
At the Rewilding Academy, Evangelista manages the agriwilding and human-elephant conflict mitigation project in Mbire District, Zimbabwe—an innovative initiative focused on agriwilding and coexistence in one of the country’s most challenging conservation frontiers. She plays a key role in building community trust, shaping accessible messaging, and fostering partnerships that enhance landscape resilience and support nature-based livelihoods.
Evangelista’s strength lies in translating complex ecological and policy concepts into narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, empowering communities to actively participate in conservation efforts. Her work is rooted in a strong commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), inclusive governance, and evidence-based solutions that align environmental and social priorities.
